Word Up

This week, in keeping with the New Year, two friends on Facebook posted questions about one single word.
One friend, I know from high school. We go way back to the days of crunchy swimmer hair, very blonde with a slight electric green cast. Man! Did we make waves or what?!

Here is her question: What is your One word for the year?

My other friend, Aunt Colleen, who has stepped in to help me with my kids without a blink, posed this question: In one word, how do you describe God?

I panic. One word? Me, the conversationalist? The talker? The extrovert? The wanna be, "Writer?"

I have to think about this.

So, my word is "Write" for the first, and "Found" for the second.

Write...all things, writing. But of course, God has priority. "Seek ye first, the kingdom of God, and His righteousness. And all these things shall be added unto you," I sing the words, to remember how it goes.

"Found" for the second answer, because, isn't that the point? "Knock and the door shall be opened unto you, Seek and ye shall find... Hallelu, hallelujah."

Jesus found me, then, I found Him. Then I found myself. Then I found Rob, and on and on, and on.

It doesn't get any more explosive than this:

John 1:1: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

So, write.  Pen to paper. One word links to another, forming a sentence. A sentence is a thought, an idea, a concept. Adding another sentence, originates a paragraph. There is no such thing as a blank page, when God finds you. Your paragraphs make stories.

So this year, 2012, the word is write. All things, writing, starting with "The Word."
